TRUST UPDATE

As we have been busy over the past month I thought a general over view of the bits and bobs we have been doing.

British Trust of Ornithology ringers continue to collect data and biometrics of migratory , and resident birds. Siskins, like this stunning male above, has been a common feature on the feeders at the Trust. Brambling, Lesser Redpoll , Greenfinch have also been a feature with the resident tits.

Snakes-head fritillary , including this white variety has spring up again on the flower meadow.

Bluebells are everywhere in our woods, Wood Anemones, and Wild Garlic are really showing now.

Again , one of our favourites at the Trust is this Beaked Earthstar.

Preparation of the new wild flower beds in the orchard have now been sown and although the cold, the seedlings are coming.

7 nests of Blackbirds are noted so far, from new nests to fledged birds.

The various nest boxes are on the move, certainly less developed than previous years, wet and cold has delayed progress.
